Sports massage, therapy and pain relief
Whether it's the aches, pains and sprains that come with everyday life or the bumps, lumps and tears from your favourite sport, we have the experience and expertise to put you right.
A commitment to continued patient care
My commitment to continuously maintaining the highest standards of patient care involves what's known as Continuous Professional Development (or CPD for short).
My programme of CPD over the previous year was recently audited and approved by the LCSP, the London and Country Society of Physiologists. The review concluded: "We have been impressed with your commitment to your CPD and clearly your wish to further your skills and abilities with regards to the ongoing care of your patients. Of course none of us can be insensitive to the challenges presented over the past 18 months or so and you have demonstrated a positive and productive attitude in adjusting to the presenting situations and events. Squash related injuries
The many repetitive, fast and explosive movements involved in even a friendly game of squash may lead to a number of injuries.
Frozen shoulder
Remedial massage can assist with restoring, and maintaining, the mobility of joints affected by frozen shoulder. early treatment of this painful condition is highly recommended.
Sprained ankle
Ankle sprains take anything from three weeks to three months to heal properly. However the same principle apply, no matter the severity of the injury.
Muscle strains
Muscle damage can occur by impact or overloading. Unless the injury is acute most patients will continue with daily life soon after injury, and overlook their potential long-term effects.
Whiplash injuries
Whiplash injuries will benefit from mobilisation and remedial massage treatment. It is important that your neck is kept mobile to minimise symptoms and speed recovery.
Sciatica
Sciatica is a term used to cover many different painful ailments. Manipulation and massage therapy can assist by bringing flexibility back to the area and so reduce the symptoms of sciatica.
Tennis elbow
You don't need to have played tennis to suffer from tennis elbow. Remedial massage can benefit this aggravating condition and its associated (sometimes constant) source of pain to the outside of the elbow.
Tension headaches
Headaches are a sign that something’s not quite right. Taking them for granted should not be the preferred option. Throbbing headaches can be eased by restoring normal tension to the muscles and range of movement to the spinal bones in the neck and upper back.
